Almost every product sold has some kind of a label on it somewhere or has been labelled at some point during the manufacturing and transportation process. For the consumer the label provides information; for the manufacturer, a way of instant brand recognition; and for the retailer and supply chain, the ability to keep track of merchandise.

Barcodes have become an indispensable part of the entire supply chain from components to end user sales. Barcode labels have transformed the face of retailing with barcode scanners at the checkout and barcode readers used for stock control.

Branding has always been important in retailing with many original brand items becoming highly collectible and nostalgic reproductions produced from them. Custom labels communicate an important message to your consumer about your product that goes beyond contents or 'sell by date'. A well designed label sells your product from the shelf before the customer has read the information on it.

Good design apart, a label must be functional. The barcode must be readable and the label must be able to stand up to the environment in which it will be used. In addition to paper, we also produce waterproof labels in polypropelene, polyethelene or vinyl. These can be over-laminated for extra protection.

We also print labels on specialist papers such as 'Silver Back', 'Block Out' and can use Removable/Peelable', 'Hi Tack' or extra sticky 'Tyre Tack' adhesive depending on requirements.

Labels are not just used to attract customers and for supply chain management. Many organisations find that mailing labels and return address labels contribute to their operations. Mailing labels are essentially variable data stored in a database and printed out as required. Using a dedicated label printer means the office printer is still available while labels are being printed. Return address labels reduce the risk of returned goods going astray through incorrect labelling and increases the likelihood that items returned will arrive back in good condition.
